The drums sound distinctly GM which points to some sort of roland sound canvas type thing... also the cheesy brass stabs and cheap strings sound like samples not VA.

Sorry, I'm not gonna post an update today. My day at work was a bit too long and was extremely loud so my hearing is complete crap for the night. I'll try and get one up early tomorrow though.
But I'll give another hint before I head off to sleep. The synth takes a lot of its power from a synth that has more in common with peace and quiet than the harshness of others.

The Korg MS-20 and it's Legacy vst sister are quite versatile and can do the drums quite convincingly. So that's my guess allthough I wouldn't call the MS-20 related to peace and quite.
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

Still has not been guessed and a couple are sniffing pretty close.
Updated the quick demo utilizing only three presets from the machine. They're very quick and dirty, but they do get the point across about the synth.
