Yeah, it is quite a bit. However, I'm sure it's because he's blowing it out. Version 2 is almost here.

By the way,

I didn't know of App Shopper! I'm going to check that site out! Thanks! :-)

Appshopper is awesome. Make sure you download the app version, too. You can load up your wishlist with things you want to get someday and when they go on sale, you are notified and can pick them up cheap!

Thanks all for the reply,
I tell developers to implement all requested features, but not all at once, as this takes time.

I'm a musician but a developer also (but I'm not writing Midi Studio currently), the cost is so various because both managers decide. Thanks to all who downloaded the free yesterday. It would be nice if you leave comments in the appstore. Nice to see that music is still interested in people and people still looking for tools like this, yesterday the # of free downloads were 6k times :)

Our people are not kicked in :(

Top line of the app description mention that app not provide sound and on different languages too. And people still leaving a comments that no sound, where sound? It that something I don't understand?

I now regret that the application was free. Because people do not know the target to how use this application and what is midi controller in general. Only from USA, UK, australia adequate peoples seems.

Not sure about which DAW you asking, you can try install 'MidiPads Lite' and then you will see if this working. Midi Studio working via Apple CoreMidi. MidiPads Lite also working via Apple CoreMidi. if it will work then Midi Studio should work also.

Well, I can tell you that the message was well receveid here in Switzerland and the french guy that I am really appreciate your App.

It's truly amazing to find something this quality for free.

Don't be fooled by a few comments of obviously, ignorant people.

Knowledge and nationality are two different things.

Thanks, yeah you right.

I just talked with developers, they say new update is delaying a little, but they doing heavy work. The main delay is supporting retina display.

I bought you're app already. Anyway the keyboard is working now in Samplitude Pro X with a nice snappy response. Great work it will be very useful. Just need to see if I can get the faders working.

Cheers

@Vitaly.NET - I went and looked at your description on the iTunes store and I think you could make it a bit more clear: "Be careful!" is not the best term here in English, either "Warning" or "Note" would convey the message better. If I were writing that line of the description I would say, "Note: This app is a Midi controller and does not include a sound engine or synth." If you want to mention that it contains no sequencer I would do this on a separate line so the message doesn't get mixed up with the more important warning.

All that being said, when you go free you will always have people who are going just download without paying much attention to the description, so you do run the risk of a bunch of people getting their hands on your app who have no idea of how to use it... Then, you will get bad reviews from the sadly, over entitled kids who feel it is ok to whine over something they got for free and didn't bother to understand.

I have also tried your app on Windows 7 and can confirm that the keyboards, start and stop buttons, and drum pads work fine. Haven't gotten the sliders working yet, but I believe this is more because I am working Podium which is sorely lacking in regards to a lot of Midi stuff. I am making a switch to a new DAW soon, so more feedback when I get used to the new terrain.

P.S. One minor issue I have noticed with the majority of apps in connecting to rtpMIDI on a PC is that they don't send a connect signal... I can't remember if this was an issue with MidiStudio, but I will test and get back to you.. I always rely on MidiBridge to send a signal saying "I want to connect!"... littlemidi machine also sends a connect signal.. Anyone else have these issues? Am I missing something here?

Thanks for your info. What is the message "I want to connect" ? Do you have a url to read about this?

I can only give you a user perspective since I only know the basics of coding.

Here are the steps I take when I want to connect using rtpMIDI: 1) start rtpMIDI on my desktop - it shows my iPad in the list of possbile connections ("Directory"), 2) start app I want to use and start Midibridge, 3) Go to preferences page of MidiBridge and make sure IP address matches internal IP that rtpMIDI displays, 4) Press "Connect" button on preferences page of MidiBridge or rtpMIDI also has a "Connect" button that works if I have everything ready in MidiBridge, 5) my iPad now shows up in "Paticipants" box of rtpMIDI and the latency is displayed in miliseconds, 6) Make music.

An example of it not working: 1) start rtpMIDI, 2) start app I want to use, 3) Usually there is no connect button in the app so I press rtpMIDI's connect button, 4) iPad shows up in Participants box but latency = ??? and it does not work.

You might be able to get better answers from developer of rtpMIDI. You probably the link but just in case, here is his website: http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/Welcome.html

P.S. Will try to test MidiStudio in next 24 hours.

I just tested with bluetooth, It is amazing how quickly it work :) My wi-fi have latency 20-40 ms (which is also very quick) but via bluetooth it seems 0-1 ms =) Why before I used w-fi... :hihi:

Less to buy RME audio card for less audio delay and for comfort music writing. My Apogee Duet show me about 5.10 ms with 128 samples and 13.1 with 512 samples.
