looking for a good sketchpad

actually i now have found a way to use midi with an ipod touch so is there any way you guys could swich the subject to an ultra cheap midi that has reasonable keys

It's kinda big. I used to have one and hated dragging it around. But of course it all depends on what kind of transportation you have. I flew and used it as a controller/synth on gigs. By car it's not that bad.
Another minus: no battery.
Built like a tank though. Excellent sequencing. Shame they didn't make it a sampler.
I'd personally go with some of the Yamaha's QY line, or a sampler of some kind. Akai has small ones, yes?
I wouldn't go for the iCrap. It's overpriced, poor quality and bad for the economy and the environment. Some stupid companies have released some bargain rompler's for it though (stupid being the price point = no profit. except for Apple).
