What host do you have? I have Ableton Live and it has a built-in slicer. Live also maps the slices and creates a MIDI clip for you. Each slice is actually an instance of Simpler so you can shape each sample to your liking. I guess many hosts has similar and perhaps even better features.
MicroDicer is not free but I used it before I got Live
ReCycle still the only product that can make REX/RX2 files?
