It's actually the very thing I find the most fun about programming: you never run out of problems to solve. It's definitely not something for people that doesn't like problems, but if your idea of fun is exercising your ability to do logical reasoning then you almost certainly have the most important part of what it takes to be a developer.

I have nothing useful to contribute into this discussion other than to mention that I'd say programming is all about solving problems: there's the problem of how to do something in the first place, and then there's the problems when something doesn't quite work the way one expects it to work.
