I bought it today and look forward to seeing what I can get out of it. As it stands it doesn't have any form of copy protection, so whatever prior issues may or may not have affected things don't apply.

While I understand people who were involved having a stake in things and they've got every right to their opinion, I just wasn't around for any controversy, and as such I honestly don't care to go all internet voyeur and try to dig up past dirt. It just seems... rude? uncouth? I don't know, I'd feel like a dick if I went searching for reasons to crap on a guy when I don't have any right now and the software performs a really useful function at a very attractive price point.

I only need a business transaction from this particular relationship, and the maker is providing that just fine via totally automated means right now. It seems, from very preliminary testing, to be quite a high quality plugin? For the price, anyway, I don't think there's a product around that can touch it, except maybe the aforementioned Voxengo sale. I still have a lot of affection for other, more expensive plugins, but that has nothing to do with this, y'know?

In a nutshell: ever since MixControl v1 came out, the price changes have been completely irrational, even with falsely predicted raises to $199 and so on. Probably to hype sales, but I'm not in a position to judge that.
If you go to the page right now, it will tell you that the price is reduced until 31/5 ... which was ... uhm ... 1.5 months ago?

Also, the company seems to have had internal "structural" troubles, and as there are only one or two guys behind the company (not counting DSP coders and Devs) that can have a major effect on things like support reply times and so on.

That's what all the excitement was about.
Still doesn't make the plugin bad.

From what I've read, there were some big names involved in coding the various processors.
So you'd better judge the book by what's in it, not by who and how he wrote it.

but it has no copy protection, just an installer, and is easy as hell to use with immediate results, for $49!. You wont find another to match this for quality, price and features.(not that I know of, closest is wave arts trackplug for $199)

I think Waves AudioTrack is decent:

In the $60 range.

I have that as well.
It's decent, yes.

But it's nowhere near as "modern" and compatible and uncomplicated and extensive as MixControl.
Only has 4 EQ bands, primitive Comp and Gate, that's it.
You can't even "mix" the gated signal with the original.

AudioTrack is good-sounding, simple and straight-forward, but MixControl definitely is the better deal here.

my intention was not to start a debate on a plugin it was just something that always kind of made me not buy it. I would miss the super sales then it went up in price and the next sale I would miss then it went up in price. Basically I need to watch for the good prices better :hihi:
but yea Its a great plugin I get paid in a few days and I plan on scooping myself a copy. :D
