Anything by Yofiel. One of the subscription instruments that can't be promised will surely make the right sound.

Brilliant! That will work great for my "classic" remix. That's not going to cut it, however, for my outback arrangement for wobble-board and stylophone.ariston wrote:Pianoteq 4 has the finest modelled silence of all piano plugs. It's like the silence is heavily pregnant with all those notes that are never played. You can also get different forms of silence by carefully placing the virtual microphones.
Sample libraries just won't cut it here.

imho it's more about the host than the plugins. You need a modular host so that you can load a plugin into the project and not connect it to a MIDI input. That's exactly what I did in my trance remix some years back. For a dubstep mix you simply not connect anything that does good wob-wobs.

Don't worry, this is just a brain-storm. In fact, a brain-storm might make the perfect sound so I would get your sampler out now!Sampleconstruct wrote:Shit, haven't thought about that - back to thinking then...ghettosynth wrote:Dude, first, that's way too noisy, and second, how am I supposed to mix down my EP with my computer unplugged?Sampleconstruct wrote:Just try the mute button on your misxing desk. If you don't have a desk or a controller with a mute button just rip out the power cable of your computer.

If you have Geist, I'll be releasing an Expander pack soon that you might be interested in, called Concert Hall Coughs.
Whatever you use, though, why not make those remixes special by travelling the world first and recording some unique IRs for your convolution reverb?

I bought the rare "Stars on 45" 74 minute medley version for £28 from a dealer in Portobello market. When I got home I found it was a blank CD. Nice sleeve insert though.

Deadquietenator was just the plugin for this but it has vanished from net. It added some of the best and most sought after vintage silence into recordings.

If you want to know what's sad, when I first read this, I assumed 4:33 was some new retarded fad sub-genre of dubsteb, and that this was a serious question, given the number of "what's the best" threads on KVR... Talk about having something go over your head. I was a little embarrassed when I finally picked up on the joke. I need a nap--BRAIN ARE NOT FUNCTION GOOD.

I thought about that, but I think that using Reaktor ensembles that don't exist to produce my tracks will expose my EP to a greater risk of piracy.Goseba wrote:Anything by Yofiel. One of the subscription instruments that can't be promised will surely make the right sound.
I'm also concerned about the CPU load of non-existent ensembles. Oh, sure, I know what you're thinking, it's zero, but that's only in theory, nobody has ever actually measured the CPU load of a non-existent ensemble, so we don't ACTUALLY know!

Well, that's a good point, but, you actually need more than that. You need a host that can filter note on messages but allow note offs to pass through untouched. I'm almost certain you can do that with pro tools, cause it's got pro in the name.Paulie Phonick wrote:imho it's more about the host than the plugins. Clearly there is no easy solution to this task you have set yourself. It would perhaps be more help if I refrain from posting asides to the main debate and remain silent for a while.

Oh sure, anyone can fake it. I can simply create an empty .wav file four minutes and thirty three seconds in length, but, that is NOT a performance that I would be proud of. I am an artist my friend and I take my work VERY seriously.bob bobwood wrote:Clearly there is no easy solution to this task you have set yourself.
