The intro creates a nice mood right at the beginning!
Some really great use of samples, especially the vocal break is nice. The delay on the vocal sounds awesome

I like the intro-sets a mood right off the bat I get th feeling I'm going to like this. And now I hear an interestingly modern rhythm with African influences. And the arps kick in to define the track as EDM? And the filtered bass gives the track attitude!

It seems like we've both been bitten by this dubstep bug...Weird thing is, I'm still a bit ambivalent towards dubstep as a genre For instance, I find Burial's music really interesting but Skrillex's music totally banal - as David Bowie once said "it's confusing these days..."

Yeah Mike, you, I and ten million others have been bitten by the 'wobble' bug for sure. You know? Perhaps the biggest problem with 'dubstep' is the stigma that's been attached to it. Perhaps it's silly to put it in the 'genre' box? Regarding Skrillex-I totally disagree. I find him quite fascinating and he is brilliant at what he does.

Art is impossible to define isn't it? Fashion, architecture, literature and on and on are all subjective in one's tastes. You know Mike? Some like to paint their walls bright orange while others will find it loud and obnoxious. They may prefer a nice soothing light green?

Annnnyyyywaaaayyyy...I know this has been talked to death...bla bla bla....

You're right of course - Art is Art and beauty is in the eye etc. But now I'm confused because you're a pro and I respect your opinion, so I'm wondering if I'm just prejudiced against Skrillex because he's young enough to wear a daft haircut and he's wildly successful

And another thing - how the heck did you know about the bright orange walls? That's just spooky

Wow Mike! I'm flattered BUT I am just me? I reallllllly want to be or learn to be authentically humble? I want to learn TRUE humility? 'They' say real power lies in humility? And I truly believe that?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that your opinion carries the exact same weight as mine if not more-perhaps my opinion has been skewed (by my professionalism)? You know?

If one were in the market for a car and had their heart set on black, and I came along and said 'black'? Ugg! Black is so typical and pretentious etc etc? I would hope that one wouldn't place too much weight on 'my opinion'?

I know you already are aware of these points-but none the less it's fun to flap our jaws isn't it?

Hey Chuck, 'real power lies in humility' - that's very Zen...and like all Zen thought, very true.

I was just trying to say, there's so much dubstep-hate that it's difficult to judge objectively...self-doubt creeps in...you know, 'maybe I'm finally too old to understand/appreciate', 'maybe I'm taking the wrong drugs' (same thing really but I'm taking far too many prescribed drugs these days to risk any recreational s**t)...that kind of thing

Your 'kid in the sandbox' analogy/tangent is right on the money, though - it's a shame that it takes more effort to stay connected to that kid as we get older...now I'm rambling
