Cubase crashing when removing usb stick ?

Once, Cubase crashed when I farted. So from then on I was afraid to fart when I was working with it. So finally I ditched it for Reaper. 
It doesn't crash when I fart.
It's actually a true story, no matter what you think. But Cubase crashed only once when I farted, just to be precise. It wwas a coincidence. It was Cubase v2, the last one I used, if I remember it right. I used Cubase on Atari for years and years, but on PC it was just not *it*, ever.
