unfortunately it only works in standalone...the vst wont show in either Ableton Live or Studio One...am I missing something?

Ive tried a reinstall and rescans on both...authorization went fine and the dll is in the right folder

any help would be more that welcome
on a mac so I can't be of much help. but here's a friendly bump. you know, esoundz has good support, you might try calling them and having them walk you through it.

Michael---Have you been running your DAWS with Administrative privileges when you re-scan for these plugins? IK stuff is finicky about this. Easier to always run DAWs in admin. mode. If that doesn't work, you could try doing the same, with user accounts off, and see if that works. If it does, make sure you return uac controls back to their normal setting afterwards. BTW, this advice only for Windows. All IK stuff working for me in Studio One. YMMV

I have just bought Sampletron (yesterday) and have the same problem in that it will only give me two sounds to play with Ch Flutes and Aft Choir. If I browse, all the other sounds on the PREPS menu are greyed out. I have tried creating a new folder but have no idea how to drag the sampletron sounds across to it. Help!

And as if that were not enough, this download also gave me SAmpletank but this refuses to authorise using the install registration manager. I have now used up 3 of my 5 registration licences trying to get this thing to work. Last time it told me that the version of the install registration manager was out of date and that i would need to download the latest version. This i did, wen't through the whole process again and guess what, the registration manager is out of date and I need to download the correct version WTF!!!

Any help would be appreciated while I still have hair and sanity left.

now who's got some good tips to share?
Be sure to adjust your sampletank GUI colors to taste so that your eyes don't bleed. (Usually happens in three stages: :o   )

PREFS should be used to point to a folder, you may be seeing greyed out files/sounds in that browse menu for that reason. You can drag your instruments to another folder as you would any other files on your system and use PREFS to point to it. I would try to get them working where the installer installed them first, though, before moving to that.

You should not use more than one authorization on the same machine without any major changes like hardware swaps, etc. Are you sure you've used multiple authorizations? Typically the same one is used for the same system even if you authorize multiple times on that machine.

Either way, it sounds like you may want to contact tech support (if you have not already) as they are there to help in situations like these: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/support
