Too bad the voting can't be for your top 10 faves- and even then it would be difficult!- It is also hard for me to decide based on the two questions...1- Is it a pleasing song? and 2- Is it showing the capabilities of the synth? Subjective criteria, to say the least!

Since I couldn't vote on my masterpiece- lol!- here are my votes:

5 Points- Bumtu- Dune Revolution

The wonderful percussion had me in the first 10 seconds!

4 Points- Yeager- Dune Tune II

As I worked my way up the OSC contests listening, whenever I wanted to know what a synth "sounded like", Yeager's stuff usually came through. And he doesn't disappoint with Dune either!

3 Points- N.E.X.- On The Edge

Nice sounds and a fun tune!

2 Points- AdagioCM- Arrakis

Can't figure out why he is spending time with on-line contests and not composing for movies!

1 Point- Jasinski- Arrakis Revisited

Kind of a mix of the thematic and the extreme tweeked- works for me!

My "shortlist" songs were Finding Happiness, Sunshine, jalingis, Strong As A Feather, Wormsign, Rotation 8, and Dune At Dusk, in no particular order.

It was a blast to participate this month and I hope to give some of you a run for your money in the future! :D

Can't you make the zip available in some other form?

Yes, actually i'm uploading a 348 megabytes Rar file to Archive.org.
My connection is very slow, so i'm waiting yet since 2 hours.

It goes about 50%, so wait about one or two hours from now. I will post the link here.

Have a nice day :)

Oh boy... voting time.. this one's tough.. only deciding between 5 makes it even harder...

5 Points - marks-a-whybikky - "Oh, there's a Dune Under My Pillow"

The percussion and the arps threw me for a huge loop here! Very innovative and it showed off the synth well, I really liked this one!

4 Points - kraftraum - Rotation 8 (Opportunity)

The words that came out of my mouth when I was listening to this was: "#$#$!@)$(@!" Just love the noise synth and intense arp! was great!

3 - Points - Pulse Width Modulation - Great Hunter in The Sky

Love the ambience in this track! Played this one at work a bunch to get a bit more relaxed! great job!

2 Points - Doc Job - The Chase

The beginning of this one reminds me a lot of Octahedron I by TD!! When I heard the connection I knew it was one of my top five! Good stuff man I enjoyed it

1 Point - Jasinski - Arrakis Revisited

This track is SO INTENSE! Didn't even think it was possible to get drums that sounded like that out of Dune!! Did a really good job in showing off what this plugin can do.

Good job everyone this month! It's my first time submitting, but I'm planning on doing more of these, they're very fun! All of the entries were pretty awesome so I'm looking forward to seeing what we'll do with Retrologue, good luck everyone! :D

Here is the zip file with all 41 songs:
http://archive.org/download/KvrOsc43Dun ... br_mp3.zip

By the way, 41 songs was equaling the old One-Synth-Challenge record from OSC 32: Zebralette, nice! No coincidence that imo, those are the 2 best free synths atm.

Some songs are uploaded to SoundCloud in wav or aif etc, those will converted to 320 for the archive where the zip download is from (automatically created). All songs already uploaded in mp3 to SoundCloud, will be left unchanged.

@Papatomany: Big scare there but good to hear things going well.

Quick note: it appears RuediRena - Spice Jockey is the original preview, not the current version (and the current version is much, much better - absolutely worth a full-frequency listen).

Important! (and problem solved now)

:-o

Thanks Z. for posting this. We already posted messages to V'ger and Irion to include the right file.

In the meantime it might be a good idea to download from the SoundCloud group.

Please make shure you listen to the full and final version! It is very much different.

Greetings
RuediRena

Ok guys, some awesome stuff there with all of the entries, not exactly easy to choose, but, here's my vote:

5 points = Jasinski-Summer NightDriveTime

4 points = Skyzone-The Mushroom House

3 points = Skyzone-Shining Light

2 points = Apzx-Gliding Above The Acclivity

1 points = DocJon-The Chase

Some awesome stuff out there and it is amazing of all the different sounds that came from the free Dune BE.

Looking forward to have some more fun with Retrologue this month and I'll be using Cubase 6.5... for first time, never used Cubase before, well never used Reaper either before Dune OSC LOL...

File updated. Now the proper track from RuediRena is online ;)
The Zip file is on the main post.

Have a nice day guys :)

I'm not sure if you meant "AdagioCM - Arrakis" or "Jasinski - Arrakis Revisited" :)

Well, I thought I had a clear picture of my votes this month, then I got to listening to the tracks in all the "full-frequency" glory and things are all hazy again... argh! A short list of 12 to sift through; work is not cut out for me. Good luck, all! :)

LOL

This reminds me of that old mathematician's pun, that if there are four peoöpe in a room and five are leaving it will still take one to come back to leave the room empty.

P.S.
A big thank you to Irion and V'ger for fixing the issue with our preview track! Your work on OSC is highly appreciated.
