Now, I'm confused. How you make feedback loop with a phonograph needle? Far out science... But maybe I used a wrong term, confusing English words is my specialty. When you connect amplifier out with in, you create 'a feedback loop', yes? So the device starts to tremble with it's own buzz...

I downloaded it and have been playing around some. I am drawn towards the raw+tuned and the filtered+transposed for some reason. It's fascinating stuff and I am surprised at how well you could capture the tuning.

Anyways, thanks so much for sharing with us!

Easy, you plug the RCA outputs back into the needle. Instant vinyl oscillator sounds. :hihi:

You could buy a 1$ audio cassette and record your waveforms on it, then, re-record the result in the computer: instant analog tape sound! :P

When I was a kid, I was doing something more twisted. I was recording something, then taking the cassette apart and re-reel tape upside down. I only remember the results were very strange. I don't think I would have patience to do it now. But I could try to record some very low tone and playback while fast-forwarding tape, that could be interesting...

Cool stuff, I'll be checking it out more for sure. On the side note, it doesn't display well on my firefox, text does not wrap around pictures, so there's a lot of hidden content. Would work for Easter egg lovers though.

thanks a lot for pointing out - its the dreaded moonfruit sitemaker Ive been using...
they keep promising html5 - then putting back the release date.
I use firefox and safari and works fine for me, so all in all a bit of a head f*ck - I can never tell if it's mis-behaving...
If you go zoom/view/reset it might help...but thats not good enough I know..

Yep, it's the zoom. Looks OK at 100%, just a bit small on the big monitor.

ah thanks for confirming that - and didn't realise btw you had no tape in the machine - should have read your thread more thoroughly ..the waveforms looked very similar to results I get when overdriving the inputs on my tape machines...its good fun to experimenting with waveforms.
I've also been wanting to work out how to make sfzs ...keep meaning to put some time into it then something else crops up. I'm on a mac - not sure if that makes it a little trickier or not.

I don't know how is it with sfz players on Mac. Besides that it's only a matter of overcoming the fear of having to actually write stuff in notepad. On basic level sfz is very simple IMO, in fact it's much more simple to write it all down rather than fiddling with knobs and tiny GUI's of Kontakt or another sampler.
