Don't give up on FL, it's a great deep program, unusual but powerful.
I have both and Live is closer to my style of working when I need to let go and just improvise. Ultimately a DAW has to fit your style of working, if your lucky enough to find it, otherwise you need to adopt to the DAW.

Keep going.

Im new to Live Light since i just purchased a Midi Keyboard last week that came with live so its fairly new to me. Its actually an Ableton Live Light Alesis Edition. I didnt know there was a vst limitation though. But when i tried it out there wasnt any crackling static noise that the other one makes. I wonder why FL does this and the 2 others ive tried dont.

Yes ive installed the ASIO drivers and it doesn't help that much with this goofy program..I have the light version of ableton that came with that midi keyboard thing that i bought last week and it doesnt make all that shit ass static noise that fruity loops makes. Been looking into the Cubase Artist or even the "entire package" for that matter since the demo didnt start crackling either. I just cant use Fl studio anymore its really annoying when i have to keep switching the drivers from primary to asio to get the poppin to stop. And as far as what kind of music i do, i really dont know what kind of music it is.. :?
DL reaper for free and just check all the VST's to see if it's the same. Also, live I believe has a demo or you might even have lite laying around for free from a controller or soundcard purchase. But I'd do that before anything else to confirm popping/clicking.
