No manual... I could use a list of Sysex / MIDI event messages. Don't think they're identical to AquesTone, I just tried a lyric change from the first's manual, and it didn't seem to accept it.

Does anyone know why this plugin tries to modify the "win.ini" file in your WINDOWS folder? I blocked it and it appeared to work just fine. Curious if anyone else knew anything about this.

It seems to reference the "lyrics.txt" file in the Aquestone folder for some reason. After reading your post , I opened win.ini and deleted all entries made by Aquestone and saved Win.ini. Then I reopened a project that uses Aquestone and it seemed to work still.. However , when i reopened the win.ini file , the Aquestone entries had returned. ..
My guess is that its nothing malicious , maybe just slightly clumsy preset management , but Im no programmer so , I wouldnt mind knowing the reason too .
I have other VSts that use text based preset files which dont require any modification of system files.
I meant to do that.

Hey, thanks for the update on this, is there any English manual. I recall playing with the first version of this and loving the sound, but I had difficulty getting the consonants to be smooth.
Cheers

Jeez, this is good stuff!
Not so much for syllables or words, but for ambient stuff like aaahs.
Check this example. Somewhat reminiscent of the Orchestron aaahs Kraftwerk used on pieces like Uran, (which New Order lifted for Blue Monday), and Schaufensterpuppen / Showroom Dummies, only much better quality. And that was only a quicktest mind you, im sure theres a lot more like this to be had from this thing.
Im wondering though, is this really free and will it stay free? Someone said that it might expire at some point...any truth to that?
Like the man said, we need details.
In any case, thanks for posting this.
10 minutes and i knew it will be very useful in deed.

CC49 00 will jump to the top line. CC49 01 to the 2nd line, and so forth.Asuyuka wrote:No manual... I could use a list of Sysex / MIDI event messages. Don't think they're identical to AquesTone, I just tried a lyric change from the first's manual, and it didn't seem to accept it.
this seems to crash my reaper though. cubase 6 is of course happy with CC49
And, for those looking for English manual for aquestone2. I have translated the manual and posted in my blog.
remember it's unofficial version!

it's just a text file. any text editor will do. there is [Syl List] button on the GUI. if you press that, you get:srv-musikmaker wrote:All this sounds delightful but how do u create lyric files?

su ta te to tu va ve vi vo vu wa we wi wo
ya ye yo yu za zo zu a e i n o u
use these syllables to best mimic the pronunciation of your lyrics.
it's recommended that lyrics are divided into many lines so that you can use CC49 + line number to jump to that line.
