I guess just bmp or png would be the normal image format to save these strips in.
Preferrably they should already be in the right size for the plugin to minimize sizes but oversized is better than undersized.
"c++ wil automatically interlace"... c++ is just the language, what the library do might differ.

I'll get started on that and will provide a diverse area for developers with many graphical concepts and downloads available. I like continually staying creative because I usually gain skills.
