it looks like they don't have a limit...?
Here are the features common to all editions of Live 9:
Unlimited Instruments, Audio effects and MIDI effects per project
VST and Audio Unit support
Then they just limit the number of tracks for Intro below.
It looks like they hope to get you to upgrade using other things... i.e. no audio-to-midi in intro, no audio slicing, the glue, the new eq8...
That's the way I'd read it at least.

Please don't take offence VitaminD, but this is laughable.
Seriously, isn't there anybody who owns this version of live?
Why the secrecy, are you afraid to admit to the fact?
All kidding aside, I've been keeping an eye on this thread AND the one at Ableton myself as there is no demo for Intro.
p.s. I won't crack the full version either(as some feel is the "NEW" standard entry point)

haha it is.. and sighable/shruggable.. and facepalmable too..
I find it difficult to believe out of over 1300 views, not one person has Ableton Live 9 Intro edition.
Theft is never a valid entry point.. and never occured to me. I'm just trying to weigh my options between Live and Bitwig (which won't have an Intro version)
And I'm not into 100 dollar gambles just to see if Live 9 Intro meets my needs. Dilemma that could be resolved if someone with Intro 9 would be kind enough to open it and test how many VSTi and VST they can load at a single time. It isn't even a diffcult or time consuming task.
I'll keep trying.. and hope someone who has the software tests and responds..

You would think that if there weren't threads like this:VitaminD wrote:Theft is never a valid entry point.. and never occured to me.

I was implying I'd never steal Live. I'm sure there are tons of people who steal it though.
But that is way off course.. Please, let's stick to the topic... Someone who owns Ableton Live Intro 9, how many VSTi and VST can you load at once?

I think the thing is at this point the vast majority of people dont own intro and stay on it. Most people that own a copy of live 9 have either live or suite. You'll have to wait for someone who doesnt own live to get a push and install it, or at least authorize their copy of live with the intro license
Or somehow expect the ridiculous option of an ableton employee responding to you on their forums or through email with an answer
