No comment on the sound here, just wanted to chime in say I like the concept of those amp sims. Clean, clear, single plugins that has the preamp and cab sim all in one. I like that. No fussy fussy.BERFAB wrote:Does anyone have an opinion about the various amp sims? I know there's a Marshall and a British emu.

So far so good. They are not spectacular but two things I like. As mentioned nice neat package, seem to fit into a jam well. I haven't done a whole song or anything. Will do that later. The cleaner settings seem to be best.@midnight wrote:No comment on the sound here, just wanted to chime in say I like the concept of those amp sims. I will stear clear of these, the last thing I bought from dont crack was the nomad bundle and they haven't been updated since November 2011.
Magnetic 11 crashes ableton live mac Hard. Nomad factory know about this and have both failed to fix and failed to respond to any emails, also completely ignored this in any forum threads.
I know this is not nomad factory but the installer layouts are identical to nomad as are the GUI elements so there is some involvement.

this was debunked time and time again. the GUI designer is the same, and they use the same installing system, but other than that there's no affiliation with Nomad Factory and your problems have nothing to do whatsoever with Don't Crack.topaz wrote:I will stear clear of these, the last thing I bought from dont crack was the nomad bundle and they haven't been updated since November 2011.

I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Ok fair enough but it still doesn't bode well, dealing with company's that dump products with bugs.
But hey, 5000 think otherwise so no loss there.

So the Plug & Mix plugins have the same design and installers as the Nomad Factory Magma plugins... and they have the same kind of plugins as the Magma bundle (with different names, but same functionality and design).Burillo wrote: this was debunked time and time again. the GUI designer is the same, and they use the same installing system, but other than that there's no affiliation with Nomad Factory and your problems have nothing to do whatsoever with Don't Crack.

But there's no affiliation with Nomad Factory? I was happy with not buying Nomad Factory Integral upgrade last time. So I also pass on this one.

i'm sorry, but what are you talking about? that's like saying, JRR Shop sucks because it sells Nomad Factory software, hence you'll never buy anything from JRR shop again. you're not making any sense.topaz wrote:Ok fair enough but it still doesn't bode well, dealing with company's that dump products with bugs.

but do they sound the same? moreover, there isn't much overlap between Magma and P&M bundle, if you look at them side by side. they only look the same because they have the same graphic designer and a good bunch of bread-and-butter FX which are present in any other bundle under the sun.kiezum wrote:So the Plug & Mix plugins have the same design and installers as the Nomad Factory Magma plugins... and they have the same kind of plugins as the Magma bundle (with different names, but same functionality and design).

Well, the nearly fully functional demo is your friend
I haven't had any issues so I'm in. I'll use some of the amp sims, the 3d, the echo, and I like things like decimator for a quick lowfi sound. The Rotary is quite usable (and is easier than jumping through the IK AT hoops to get a rotory. For 99 bucks (or just over, have we reached 5000??) I'll use these.
BTW, the max limit does what it say on the tin just fine, but I'm not a huge fan of the eq or comp. I mean, they aren't bad. Also the "filter" doesn't really seem to hit a mark. Then again *SNOB CONTENT* I use the NI stuff or alloy for many of these needs *END SNOB CONTENT*
