May 2063 Top 10

During the first half of the 21st century, human attention-span became shorter and shorter. (It was only recently discovered that this was an unexpected side-effect of chronic exposure to raised levels of carbon dioxide.)

This condition, combined with a culture that celebrated the downloading of as
much music as possible without rewarding the artists, meant that musicians tended to produce ever-shorter works. Collectors would then listen to automatically created playlists of hundreds or thousands of short snatches of music from a huge variety of composers - most tracks would be heard no more than a handful of times.

This file is a recording of the Top 10 chart show for May of 2063, as broadcast by the automatic MusicStat service.
