As their SoundGrid thing is doing well a quality graphic equalizer is a logical release. I've seen it (soundgrid) at quite a few live shows over the past year using DiGiCo desks amongst others: http://www.waveslive.com/html/soundgrid-overview.aspx
All the best to all as always :)

Not joking and no offense taken, Theo. But I would challenge you to come up with one studio application where a graphic equalizer would be more appropriate than a parametric.

The advantage is that it's much easier to learn precisely what a fixed band eq does to your sound than a variable 20,000+ frequency one.

So as far as being appropriate, it's all about quick results = saving time.. that's the advantage to me..

i think it's a personal thing about the way we each individually work

cheers
What he said. I'll often reach for a graphic EQ when I know exactly what I want with minimal fuss.

Standing three meters back from a graphic EQ, you can get an immediate visual sense of the curve. This is one reason they are popular in FOH rigs.
yeah they usually send Pink noise thru the speakers with a measuring Microphone that is hooked up to a spectrum analyser

the Graphic EQ is there to correct frequency humps.

And they are a necessity for feedback.

in Pro studios they also use them to correct the monitoring room(the room with the mixer)

Graph-Eq aren't ideal for mixing and mastering purposes because the frequency and Q are set.

you cannot change it they are all supposed to be standard. so there is no point to use more than 2 make and models
If your plugin is a Synth-edit/synth-maker creation, Say So.
If not Make a Mac version of your Plugins Please.
