And the next song is uploaded to all platforms:
A cover version of Coldplay's "Yellow".
This song is by far the less edited track on the whole album prior to the saturation stage. Just EQing (both dynamic and Linear Phase), M/S editing (can be clearly heard with the background vocals again), then forwarded to the saturation chain.
Definitely no rocket science here. Though the slight flanging of the drums were not possible to fix, as this was (once again) a limitation of stereo mixdowns.
Funny enough, I like this version more than the official release. I don't know why, but every version of Yellow I know (mostly from streaming platforms and TV) have a flanged and washed out (as if run through water) background track. This did more harm to the original version than good.
Then again, both versions are excellent in my opinion.
Okay... This means, we have two weekends and two songs left in the queue.
Please enjoy the music, as usual.

Man, I totally forgot to promote the most recent free track by Chameleon Jazz Connection. Way too much stuff going on at my end currently.
Anyway, the most current upload is a cover version of "Boys don't Cry" by "The Cure".
Technically, it's still down to dynamic EQing here. And after a very helpful information by a fellow engineer on the last page, also some linear phase EQ fixes. Then the track is run through the saturation chain, and finally the master chain (loudness raise).
That means that there is one track left, and that is a famous track by "The Cardigans".
And as usual:
Enjoy the music, favour it, share it.
These folks deserve more attention.

And... I guess this is it. The whole album is online (currently on YT, probably later on the official page and SoundCloud).
The final track is a cover of "Lovefool" by "The Cardigans".
No technical specialities, other than me having a focus for an open sound (high end focus) and keeping the upright bass in check. Certain layers of sounds do feel like as if there is a flanger going on. But I think this is due to the comb filtering effect at this particular part of the song. As I mentioned several times - the downside of working on Stereo files.
Anyway... 8 weekends, 8 songs, 26:28min of fun.
Please enjoy the music, favour it, share it, book these people, spread the word, get in touch with them, give them feedback, ask for more music. You know the drill.
Thanks for reading and listening.
Oh, and feedback towards the audio engineer is also welcome of course.

Let's bump this one more time.
All tracks are now on their official webpage, SoundCloud and YouTube.
Eight tracks in total, 26:28min of running time.
The tracks on their official page are fully tagged (and fixed) however.
According to the band, the songs are ordered like this (should you decide to create an order for CD or playback):
01 - Where is my Mind
02 - Lovefool
03 - Should I stay or should I go
04 - Song 2
05 - Highway to Hell
06 - Boys don't cry
07 - Yellow
08 - Tonight Tonight
Released in a different order of course, to keep up the excitement.
So yeah:
Favour it, share it, like it, comment on them, write the band, give them feedback (the engineer as well, please!) - and most important, sit back and enjoy.
