Very pleased to report that SparkLE 1.7beta is running strong in Windows XP with SP3 and DAWs Tracktion 4.3.2, Reaper and Sony Acid Studio 7.0!

The 2 latest betas of 1.7(pre 1.7 release) crash Cubase when they are trying to open(not all the time but more often than not), I have just found out 1.7 is officially released though, so will report back...

Is the softsynth Spark that comes with V Collection the same as the Spark that comes with the hardware version?

Yes! although crippled, i.e. not sample import etc.

No not all, if it is a sample based drum sound(i.e. linn drum/DMX) it will be a sample, if it was originally an analog sound it will be physical modelling/VA(i.e. roland 808/909), any other kits(non drum machines) will be samples.

Uninstalled beta, installed official 1.7, run cubase/run spark, worked, closed cubase and repeated, spark worked again, tried a 3rd time, Failed to load and crashed cubase.

Now doing system restore to last time I used the pc 7/7/13! then will uninstall spark and reinstall 1.7 official release and try again, if it fails after that this is a bug I would say, 1.6 never used to do this but the cpu consumption in 1.7 is so much better which is why i want to get this 1.7 running.
