How do I check that in Ableton? I have literally no idea lols.
Dude, seriously. You need to contact EW support.

Ah, I see. Probably should have mentioned that in the original post, but no worries.jontah wrote: I did an got nothing out of it, just basic question shit, hence therefore I'm here..
Do you maybe have another sustain pedal you could try with Play, just for troubleshooting's sake?
Side note: I only use Play on Windows, so when I say "everything works fine here," I suppose there is that one small variable that could change things...

Yes! I tried with another sustain pedal too as I have 1 built in, in the keyboard itself (since it's an electric piano with MIDI USB convert), and with another external pedal. Didn't make any difference at all.sockofgold wrote:Ah, I see. Also, it DOES work with other SAMPLE LIBRARIES such as Alicia's Keys, Emotional Piano and Piano in Blue inside of Kontakt 5, no problem there at all! In EW Play it doesn't work at all.. I don't know whats up :S
I even tried to draw in cc64 (sustain hold) in Ableton and it completely ignores that too

Sorry man, I really don't know. I just tested again on my end, and sustain works flawlessly for me (on Windows)--going by everything you said, I really just can't see what the issue could be.
If support didn't have you do it, it might be worth uninstalling and re-installing Play. I know with the Windows installer, it comes with its own uninstaller that clears all of Play's settings and files (i.e. better than uninstalling through Windows), but I'm not sure if there is a utility including with the Mac version.
You might also find more people using Play on a Mac at vi-control or Gearslutz if you don't get anyone else chiming in here.
Beyond that, I am stumped, and I will have to wish you best of luck. Sorry you're having issues.
