I would advice you to REALLY check things before spreading false facts...

Tp3,
I dont spread false facts and confirm my post:
Klanghelm doesn't have "a hold control" as stated in my post (doesn't mean that Klanghelm doesnt have a hold needle -> I know it has, that's a red needle). It means that you can't control the time of the hold.
if you play for exemple the complete song, you can know the max VU with PSP, not klanghelm. Or I've not found how (and even sent a mail to the developper for that, no answer yet)

Yo

PS: I would advice you that even if it was a mistake, to just notice the mistake (we can all do a mistake) without uppercase world and general judgement. Often it can ease exchange between people.

Hmmm, What's the "Set" button on the top right n the "Hold" button on the lower right for in the Klanghelm meters???

As written in the manual : "Hold time of the clip indicator".

[EDIT]: This falls, I should add, in the "Set" menu, under the column "LED", which refers to dB peaks & clip levels.
Under the "VU" column, you will only find "Rise", "Fall" and "Overshout" settings.

Bottom line: yomanfree is right.

I'm a big fan of Klanghelm's but bought PSP's nonetheless. Both have their merits.

Completly agree with you @l3x!5 (and I'm really waiting the new Klanghelm plugins which seems perheaps a saturation :-) ?
For me the difference is mainly on the volume control for Klanghelm, and the hold control for PSP. I just regret that one has not boths features.

Just I would like to underline a good point (as usual) by compyfox concerning another diff:
"the PSP 2Meter offers an adjusted GUI for the European and BBC PPM meter. VUMT doesn't, it stays like a normal VU.
Furthermore, the British (BBC) and European (EBU) meter uses 10ms rise and 300ms fall (24 dB in 2.8±0.3 s to be precise) times. VUMT can be set to that manually, but the GUI stays the same."

if I understood well, JRRShop price should be 8.5$ (promo period near 10$ minus 15%)...

it's more complicated for me as I'm in the UK and therefore there is VAT to pay. But it was more like $7.65 plus VAT (as said I have quite a few PSP plugins) which worked out to be under £7.

For me even with a 24% discount from my psp account, the price is more interesting from JRR (where I don't have to pay the VAT)...

I can't demo these VU-meters because I get "The procedure entry point GetTickCount64 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll" What's up with that? I suppose somebody didn't compile it right. I'm running Windows XP SP3 and have all the right runtimes etc. Shame. They say it should work with XP in "system requirements" and I don't see any reason why they shouldn't.

Edit: I downloaded older 2.0.0 version and they seem to work. hmmm is that one of those "upgrades" that I encounter from time to time? :x

On the bright side, very nice and smooth VU-meters.

Cheers!

Same here, the new version doesn't work with my Windows XP :(

They look a lot like that one Jules the Tracktion dev made at one time.
