I have a lovely strat (fairly new) and got sold on this "carvin" thing. It's the first guitar I've ever ordered to my specs. I'm plenty nervous about it

I wonder if waves thinks the "kramer" is their permanent answer.....but I don't think so. I think saturators are kinda a "buzz" and they will make one. God help me.....

Optimal number of audio plugins is one more than you currently have.

LOL did that just got released?

Looks like the Kramer with a few added fucntions and a new GUI :hihi:

Ok I think it's time to create another "X-tape plug vs Y-tape plug" blablabla topic...
And the other classic topic : "I have Satin, is J37 worth it ?"

Looks like it was released a few minutes ago. And it just came on sale at AudioDeluxe also.

I'm just demoing it but I think it's broken... those shiny reels aren't spinning! But the knobs do work because I can f**k up the sound easily. :D

I ain't buying that piece of antique thingamajig with some non-functional reels, that's for sure. :x

Let's just hope that Waves drops prices for ALL future Abbey Road plugins and we get the RS-124 again.

The fun thing is... the RS-56 is not even THAT special. It's a digital EQ, with similar courves like the hardware.

Too large GUI, too pricey, pretty much unusable for regular stuff only for "tape recordings" (to supplement the POP EQ module and a tape machine of the Abbey Road Studios).

Why the F did Abbey Road even stop support, and then drop their plugin range in the process. This is getting worse by every minute. And the one company that profits from that - is Waves. You pay tripple once again just for the brand name - not the tool.

Got to love Waves, or hate Waves.
I'm still fine that I do not(!) use any of these tools. Other than taking an occasional dive at the demos, or at plugins at a clients place.

I used to hate waves when it was a two authorization system. Then they went to one auth, easy demos and found I really liked them. If I lose out because of the wup, then oh well. But I'm pretty much done with plugins other than true needs. I've got a dandy little stash and though I was certain we'd see this, it's not on my list (well, I can't afford anything right now anyways, but even still :hihi: )

Haha!, I just read this sentence on the Waves site and nearly sprayed coffee everywhere!

"Abbey Road J37 faithfully recreates the inimitable sonic signature of the original machine"

How can you faithfully emulate something that is inimitable?

I once thought I had mono for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored...

maybe so far inimitable?
...until almighty Waves /again/ found a way how to do it right...
