im not sure you can learn all this - you can but i dont think the music will be much better.

all those stars from the past didnt learn it too. dont think john lennen hung around in libraries discussing pop music analysis - and chord progression ^^ and reading books about it.

there is something about music that makes it feel light and real and that doesnt come from the brain. (obviously it comes from the brain but not from the analytical side but the creative side).

i guess learning bruce lees karate will help you more in your music progression than reading pop music analysis books.

but thats only my opinion in making music for 15 years and having a real instrument background before that time..

Playing the instrument is the fun - you must get that fun into the song in arrange mode.
