Sadlly it's not a perfect world and sometimes we accept the lesser of evils as that is the only option available.

Yeah well if they operate in accordance with the law of the Ukraine and Cyprus, paying license fees for all materials, and they allow me to buy as a EU citizen, then that's ok I guess?

They are probably legal in Ukraine or wherever they are based, but it's a safe bet actual artists get nothing from these sales and you're only paying some mobsters running these sites. IMO supporting these businesses is worse that getting that music off torrents or some other way for 'free'.

Here in Germany it's pretty disputed if they're legal or not; at least they're not illegal in the jurisdiction at the moment. In any case, considering the prices, I'm pretty sure that the artists gets nothing from the sales.

Then it's better to listen to Spotify which is 100 % legal even if the artists get nearly nothing or only some bucks after millions of plays...

iTunes has DRM? Really?

Amazon doesn't even sell 320 mp3s, it uses a lower bitrate.

That Ukrainian one is funny - they steal and then you buy from them. Why not just cut out the middle-man if you don't wanna pay more than 7c for an album...?

As for me, zero purchases on any of the above - luckily most of the stuff I want to buy comes from BLEEP (wavs too!!!) or other indie labels/resellers.

Yes, important difference is, an artist can sign off from Spotify, if they choose to. However Spotify is not available in many countries, it wasn't available in Poland last time I checked, so now I was surprised to see they launched here, February this year. Maybe I'll give it a try.
