I actually have an old roland u-20, and believe it or not I use it sometimes too. Great sounding set based on the demos.

Thanks, Panphobia.
Those old Roland romplers like the D-50, JV-2080 or JD-990 actually inspired me to develop Rompulator.

Hey, I've got some news:
Rompulator will be released this weekend.

The payment processor will be FastSpring which, in my experience, is the best one available. Most importantly, this should ensure instant downloads after payment.

This means that you only have a couple more days to win one out of five free copies by signing up to the http://www.darkerdigital.com newsletter, liking http://www.facebook.com/DarkerDigital or following http://www.twitter.com/DarkerDigital.
Additionally, I will pick a winner of a sixth free copy from anyone posting in this thread.

There's an X-Files patch in the lite version, woohoo! Does the regular version have an installer and will it be listed in the libraries navigation?

intriguing - will watch this topic.

Hi Triskal,
Rompulator won't be listed in the libraries navigation, since it's not a Kontakt Player library. I personally prefer Kontakt's Quick-Load Catalog:

Rompulator won't have an installer, it's just a 500mb large .zip file.

Rompulator will be released on Sunday, December 22nd.

Rompulator is a one-of-a-kind NI Kontakt ROM-synthesizer:
Rather than being pre-recorded, each single Rompulator instrument is created from up to three layers of looped multisamples inside Kontakt.
Thanks to this classic approach known from hardware romplers, Rompulator manages to have a low size of roughly 500 MB and virtually no patch loading time. The factory library consists of over 200 totally customizable patches. Rompulator's GUI and synthesis features have been optimized for multi-layer sound design. Rompulator is fun to tweak and anything but limited.

Rompulator will have an introductary price of $59, lasting until January 1st.
Once the introductary offer ends, the full price will be $89.

The 5+1 winners of a free copy will be selected at random and notified tomorrow.

Happy Holidays!

Now you're talking my language ! I was just having a play yesterday with my Korg 03/RW and Roland U-200 hardware Romplers layered together. Back in the day long before softsynths I used to own a rack full Romplers and loved layering up big Choir, Strings, and Bell sounds...throw in a little Shaku and Bottle Blow and those sounds take me back to a wonderful time in my life.........

Thanks for the free Lite version and I'll certainly consider purchasing the full version. :tu:
