Seen the Props' latest micro tutorial yet? Aside from the brief overview of Parsec, it's actually one of the more clearly explained introductions to additive synthesis I've seen:

Yep PH have some of the best tutorials cheesy humour and all even the Reason manual is extremely well written. Great software company.

Anybody care to speculate at what McDSP are testing? They've got quite an extensive catalog of VST.

Good question. Some of their GUI designs already fit the Reason rack aesthetic quite well, especially the ultimate compressor modules. Considering the huge popularity of their FilterBank plugin for years now, I could see that being a natural candidate for porting. Did you sign up for the beta?

I "applied" but never heard back from them. It's just as well - I'm currently beta testing other RE's right now that are taking my time. One is from a well-known and respected dev and I can't wait until it hits the store - it's a must-have!

Indeed. Knobs-only could be done, and it does sound fantastic.
