And it's understandable, however it's a big feature and needs some funds.

No sample/plugins yet. Drag'n'drop should arrive on the next minor update.

Can't confirm yet.

Sorry what does it do then? You seem to be expecting people to pay for something that has less features than the original free version.

Post

It's a sampler :) as said sampling will be added later.

Well I don't think that's a fair statement. New commercial version has been rewritten to support 64-bit and Mac/Linux as well. If you look at the changelog there have been very good additions.

It's not that simple to get back VST sampling after the rewrite, specially considering it's now a multi-platform plug-in instead Windows-only 32-bit.

Maybe not but it's still not clear what it does right now - you say it's a sampler but it can't sample (yet) so at the moment its core functionality has been taken out - I don't think it's unreasonable to say it has less features even if it supports more platforms.

Post

VST sampling was a core functionality part. Sampling playback engine and wave editing are better than v1.4 now, without forgetting 64-bit support.

I understand the disappointment but pending VST sampling will be better once it comes back.

Post

no drag and drop, you load vst and preset you want and then you press freeze plugin, it samples it into highlife's memory and then unloads vst plugin it just sampled then you have the sound in highlifes memory so you either save it as a highlife sound or export a sfz, @alvfaria i wish it had sf2 support but unfortunately it does not it loads your vst and samples it to sfz

I was looking at HL - Seems to have great potential. I don't mind paying for it, as I'd like a quick working sampler a kin to Logics. I use the Motu for bigger jobs.

Sadly, I won't be buying it. This statement scares me a little... Not much point in shelling out, if it's not going to be updated until you get the support.

Hope it works out.
I hope George will restore some confidence in this product and the people who paid good money for the so called 'upgrade'. :(

It will. Only more time is needed.

I used this a bit when it was still free and it's quite nice!
The world needs more small samples without too much feature bloat!

We have released a bugfix update (1.2.3a) for all platforms.
  • Enhanced waveform scroll supporting horizontal axis.
  • Fixed waveform behavior with devices supporting inertia scrolling.
  • Changed waveform mouse zoom to SHIFT + up/down or left/right wheel on Mac.
    CTRL for Linux/Windows.
  • Fixed Chorus FX not sounding correctly.
  • Fixed SFZ export.

People on the market for a cheap, no-bloat sampler should also check out Tx16wx sampler. It's more versatile and cheaper. Just saying.

i came from the free version , liked the sample feature and was thinking buy it about the 64 bit updates etc . (also was needed the sample feature for an new project) , than i´m purchased it , installed and seen the sample feature are gone in the commercial version and loading bigger giga files makes it crashing all the time here , and was completly dissapointed and regreted the purchase !

if i had seen this thread before , and if i had informed me better , before i have hit the buy button , i definetly didn´t had buy it yet !

sorry to say this George

This is what I was trying to get across - at the moment I can't see why anyone would buy this considering its limitations. I understand wanting to raise funds to support development but taking out the "unique selling point" doesn't seem a good way of doing it.
