Currently he can use it up to 10 projects without sub (then they'll have to leave some to "make room"). Once the offline mode (in a few months) is here, he'll be able to use it indefinitely in local mode, just like any other DAW, and in online mode within the 10 projects at a time limit. Is 99€ a one time charge or a yearly fee? I mean, if someone pays 99€ can they just use it indefinitely without paying again or is it a yearly subscription? If the former, that's my misunderstanding.
[Ohm Studio - offline mode] we need you to take the survey

Thanks for clearing that up. 135 USD (99€) is a decent price for a good workstation. I'd certainly give it another look-see (for purchase) at that one time price.Once the offline mode (in a few months) is here, he'll be able to use it indefinitely in local mode

I don't think the responses are taking into consideration the what Ohm Studio does (differently) and that an offline mode is on the way.
For "working in the cloud" and cloud storage, I think subscription fees make sense (because of the operational costs involved) . With an offline mode, the pricing model makes even more sense.... as in pay for what you need/use.
***edit***
Also should add, that I already replied to the survey and others should too.
Even my comments are not really on-topic, but felt like responding because people are quick to write things off without really investigating what's being offered (or what's already a planned change as part of future offerings).
