We like it too, and while it isn't directly implemented via the free iRing SDK, Korg Gadget can be controlled with iRing which is pretty cool. Demo video here, the tutorial on setting it up is also on :

looks great. i often wished i could control music by standing like a statue so as to be able to maintain a very un-musical performance :hihi:

I often wished I could have as much time as some to seek out a specific company's posts and be as sarcastic as possible about things that aren't my cup of tea.

See, I don't care who you are, that's funny right there.

Hey, we appreciate the extra views. If it costs us a sarcastic comment or two, so be it. Thanks for the conversation, views, traffic, and interest or disinterest :)

No worries man, but, in fairness, you did step in to a thread about a Korg product to pimp your own stuff.

It was relevant, iRing directly controlling the app being discussed. Hopefully they'll use the SDK and make it even more directly relevant going forward (and easier to set up).

don't flatter yourself. i posted very early on in this thread; long before you cam in hawking your wares. as such, i got an email alerting me to your ever-presentness

as for my sarcasm ?? well, i actually spent time and energy (with nary a hint of sarcasm), trying to get some information from obik about what systems are in place to help smooth/scale movements in a very large 3d space to objects on a tablet/phone with very limited screen estate. this was during the temporary forum we were using at the beginning of this year. he never answered, and the thread disappeared once the forum 'proper' rebooted.

i am not trashing this product just because it's ik. (really !! get over yourself), as i have long had an interest in this kind of performance possibility. i spent quite a while trying to configure wii controllers, which i had bought specifically for the purpose, as musical performance tools. ever since i was a teen watching jarre's 'rendezvous houston', over and over, i have wanted to play music as he does his light-beam synth thingy. anyways, i ended up giving up, and returning the controllers. they are good for jerky filter-sweeps and theremin styles, but not much else (although, now there is a program called controllermate, on mac, that has good acceleration scaling. maybe, that would help

anyway, from what i remember of your video, it looked like the performer had to make tiny little movements to start a loop. with the other hand, the solo was limited to movements up a pre-defined scale, which made it sound really unmusical. i assume this is because of the same issue i mentioned i.e that it would be impossible to use a chromatic scale and deliberately hit notes of choice. it really just looks like a gimmick (albeit a well-priced one).

actually, not really. the o.p was sharing her thoughts on an app, and asking about the interfacing of the ipad with a computer, NOT "the touch pad is so limiting. anyone know of a different way of controlling ipad apps"

considering people are taken to task for entering an ik thread and sharing an opinion that is not apropos, you might take special care not to do the same

such a brilliant summation of how your company's policies are viewed by so many   kinda like, 'throw enough shit, and some will stick', a.k.a 'who cares about the gripes of certain users..as long as we are getting traffic/views/hits/still in profit.....' :D

this has pretty much convinced me an 'ignore' is in order for these shysters. enjoy the free bump, KORG!

Grandmaster Jay shows you how it's done, musical stylee! Maybe Korg will integrate the beamz as well?

quite something, to see jay demeaning his own serious talent to hawk this nonsense

I heard iOS 7 lowered the performance of the iPad, somewhat. Since I have an iPad2, I'm a bit concerned about upgrading, but I must do so in order to run Korg Gadget.

Should I be concerned, or go ahead and upgrade?
