...Indeed there isn't a ton of info out on it, but the wait won't be long!BDeep wrote:I'm waiting anxiously, but there's not much more info unfortunately.
Just a short rewind: It was rather unexpected deadmau5 decided to livestream Serum using an alpha version for 2 hours. So that was a very unorthodox 'pre-announcement' (well, people do teaser stuff all the time, just not by accident!
Since it isn't far away, I plan to wait for the announcement to answer all questions and discussions. There's a lot of cool stuff and bullet-points to Serum not yet revealed (some of the things I'm most proud of - it's been a long 3 year development!).
It won't be long now - more very soon!

I'm pretty interested in checking this out now, it looks like it might be a decent rival to massive. Will all the filters from LFO tool be in this?bitcrusher wrote:...Indeed there isn't a ton of info out on it, but the wait won't be long!BDeep wrote:I'm waiting anxiously, but there's not much more info unfortunately.

You do realize that we have patience until... Say... Yesterday, right?
Congratulations, really looking forward to it.

The gui is gorgeous, but the audio in that demo is a bit of a put-off. Sounds like a really generic Massive patch. Massive can do these sounds in about five tweaks from the INIT patch. Still, I get it's a quick, zero-effort little teaser. I'm sure it's an excellent synth and I'm looking forwards to hearing more.Twosound wrote:Not out yet but I'm definitely buying

Cheers, guys!
For the record, it's NOT my teaser, just my synth (xfer) - this thread title couldn't be more ambiguous around that! I did give SeamlessR permission to post it, and his channel is kind of based around those sorts of 'bass' sounds.
The video I look forward to posting (and planned to lead off with) is the one that explains the unique points and provides some instructional usage information, and accompanies downloading the demo.
If you're like me, you don't want months of hype on something. I'll keep this post short to help prevent that
someone say the word 'dongles' so we can bury the thread? (P.S. just a simple serial)

I keep forgetting to test LFO tool... I downloaded the demo about a year ago! Ha. Looking forward to testing this as Nerve is the smartest crazy good plugin I own. I still haven't figure out half of what that thing will do.

If I'd only seen the first video I wouldn't have given this a second look, but there was some great stuff in the deadmau5 stream. Interested to see how this compares to Spire and Dune 2.

Definitely buying this, regardless of the anwer to: will we be able to load in our own wavetables?

Iif I'm not mistaken, I think I saw an Import button somewhere. I think you'll be able to load single cycle waveforms.OzoneJunkie wrote:Definitely buying this, regardless of the anwer to: will we be able to load in our own wavetables?
