Guitar Center is having a 15% off sale...BERFAB wrote:May I ask what kind of deal you got? I'd prefer to go with Uncle E at JRR shop, as long as he's in the ballpark, but I haven't really seen any ads yet to know what discounts are possible anywhere.
Anyone?

JRR Shop with the FORUM discount code was the cheapest deal I found. That's where I ordered mine. $355.11 USD for K9U->K10U with free shipping.BERFAB wrote:May I ask what kind of deal you got? Might be able to get a better deal in-person at a brick-and-mortar, but I always leave Guitar Center feeling a little dirty, so I avoid that whenever possible.

It comes out around $385.00 with the 16% group coupon in my JRR cart. Hoping AudioDeluxe gets it soon where I can get close to the $355.00 you got.UltimateOutsider wrote:JRR Shop with the FORUM discount code was the cheapest deal I found. (And because I have a store credit there I need to use up too).

Did the coupon apply properly? (Or are you being dinged with tax? I'm not a CA resident, so mine was no tax/free ship, etc.)BBFG# wrote:It comes out around $385.00 with the 16% group coupon in my JRR cart. Hoping AudioDeluxe gets it soon where I can get close to the $355.00 you got.

Dinged by tax. We live in one of the greediest states of the union.UltimateOutsider wrote:Did the coupon apply properly? (Or are you being dinged with tax? It's not JRRshop's fault.
However, I live in a tourist town where all the businesses give us locals an extra 10% off (sometimes more) for being a local. JRR would get more of my business if they implemented something like that.
Although in this case, I have a looming store credit to consider here too.

Oh, the GROUP coup applies at JRR. Good to know. I thought that it was just the FORUM discount.
16% is the highest I've seen. Most are 10-15%. Uncle E wins again.
Cheers

That's funny you say that. I have to agree. Don't know what it is, but there's something in the air there (attitude, perhaps?) that makes me want to shower afterwards.UltimateOutsider wrote: I always leave Guitar Center feeling a little dirty, so I avoid that whenever possible.

A long hot shower... with an anti-lice shampoo.

I had a 15% off coupon for GC but the manager I know and have bought a LOT of gear at GC from gave me a bit more % off.BERFAB wrote:May I ask what kind of deal you got? I always check ALL web stores for pricing but JRRShop is probably the best pricing with GROUP coupon when it applies.
I generally go to Guitar Center with a JRRShop cart printout and CG will match or beat internet prices. I just have to pay the tax on top, which I don't have to pay at JRRSHop.
that's if it's a physical box hardware situation. if it's software download link I just shop for best prices and JRRShop, AudioDeluxe, Plugindiscounts have always been really good prices and customer service.

That one's not always available. The FORUM one works on nearly everything though (though only 11% vs 16%).firepile wrote:Doesn't seem to work: Coupon code "GROUP" is not valid.BERFAB wrote:Oh, the GROUP coup applies at JRR.

Uncle E--can we get a ruling on this?

It's the end of an era, guys. No more super huge boxes to house those tiny hard drives.

The new Ultimate box still folds out like the old ones did, but this box uses magnets instead of Velcro to fasten the flap to the box.

Also, just like with Komplete 9 Ultimate, there are two products listed on the box art which aren't included on the installer drive: Rounds and Kontour. (You can see Rounds shown in the pic above.) I haven't gotten my serials yet, but it's only been 10 hours since install completed and I registered.
I also noticed there was no RTAS option. On Windows it's only VST and AAX now.
Oh- the installer drive is USB 3.0 this time, with just a regular single-plug cable. Not USB 2 with Y-cable like 8 and 9 Ultimate. I only have USB 2 on my DAW PC though, so the install still took 3 hours, even though it was installing on top of my existing Komplete 9 Ultimate setup.
