Yes, i tried this, too. The serial is in the clipboard..i can paste it in a notepad/editor. But this grey box covering the plugin does not get it. It changes color when i move the mouse over it, but thats all.

If I recall correctly you have not to paste in the grey box... but only to click on it. It's enough to paste. It is a curious method which has been chosen for this synth, but it's that... you have not to paste but only to click, and it is the click itself which pastes.

So... does it really keep telling you that you're not yet registered?
If so, then launch as administrator (only once, for the activation) the standalone version of VirtualCZ.

Are you sure you're using the "needs to be registered" version and not the demo? It took me a couple days and emails to the dev for me to realize that they're totally separate downloads.

I downloaded the install files from my useraccount at pluginboutique. I followed the install instructions. I click the clipboard-symbol next to my serial number to copy it in my clipboard. I start Cubase,open VirtualCZ, click the grey box and nothing is happening. The grey box stays active. So it is not possible to use the plugin. Same in standalone.

I downloaded the version in my account. Listed in the menu "My Products". Should be the right file.

Open this directory: C:\Users\[XYZ]\AppData\Local\VirtualCZ

where [XYZ] is your Windows account.

In this directory, do you have a file called key.txt ?

And is there another file in that same directory ? If so... with which name ?

If that file key.txt doesn't exist, a way to turn around the issue is to create it, and to fill its first line with all your license code, including the words START and END. And do not add a carriage return at the end of the first line, the end of this line must be also the end of the file.

You might have already tried it this way, but here goes:

I had a problem when I was trying to paste it in there myself. It turned out (after trying it a bunch of ways) I wasn't copying the whole line of text, it didn't work till I copied it with "START" ....and "END" included.

Start is the first part of it, and End, of course, is the end. I was copying just what was between those 2 words, instead of copying everything at once.

Ok, in this folder is one document: VirtualCZ-preferences.ini
No key.txt.
I created key.txt and pasted the key from my account at pluginboutique. Only one line, incl. START and END. Started VirtualCZ as admin....same result. Grey box is still there, it changes color when i move my mouse pointer over it, but can't click to unlock it.

Any more ideas? I wrote the support, too, but haven't heard from them yet.
