With the MMultibands it's sometimes useful to step through the presets.aMUSEd wrote: Not exactly obvious though
They usually give a good quick-overview about what's possible.

Did that but still would not have known that "transformation parameter = 1" would be reverse.

It looks like you can do a lot of interesting stuff by editing the advanced transformation graph. I asked Vojtech to explain how this works cause the thing is not very intuitive. http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 8&t=426836

Can't get much more powerful than that..

Here is a video displaying the Pitch Quantization function in MBandGranular, where you can tune the grains to any given pitches/scales:

So Simon, after some testing what's your impression of the Melda plugin?

Damn Simon now I want it too.
Is it going to be on sale soon or have I missed it?

Oh, I've been using this for ages already, just had to get used to the new GUI since version 8. The sound quality is good, the only thing I am missing is a less esoterical parameter for Grain Shapes (e.g. triangle, Blackman Harris, Rectangle, Welch), the Transformation feature is definitely interesting but pretty much unforeseeable, so trial and error here unless you want to simply reverse your grains. The pitch quantization feature is also good, but a bit clumsy and more limited than in other granulators like crusherX which in many aspects still is the unrivaled King/Queen out there (it was updated to 5.5 yesterday btw), as it can also load wav files, generate sine clouds which are not sample based at all and function more like a synthesizer (think HALion 5/Padshop Pro) and has features which can't be found at all in other apps.xx JPRacer xx wrote:So Simon, after some testing what's your impression of the Melda plugin?
But MultiBandGranulator has 4 bands and each band has up to 4 voices with up to 4 modulators each assigned to as many parameters as you can find, that makes for some very dense and complex textures in a very high sound quality if one wants that. It's definitely a great tool, it's GUI will intimidate many users, but that also counts for crusherX.
