Did you sat you were running McAfee??
The licensing system won't work if that is on. I have come across other Waves users who had the same problem.
The trouble is antivirus software constantly monitor your ingoing and out going connections, and if there is something it doesn't now about it prevents from connecting.
Waves issue now solved. Nothing to see here.

Perhaps when your McAfee membership expires it might be an idea to loom around for a Waves friendly anti-virus.
