If you like Sylenth, then buy one different from that. I would buy Serum or Massive. Check also Z3ta+2.
If the discount still on Air Synths, then maybe the trio of Hybrid, Loom and Vacuum Pro is a great bundle which won't overlap with sylenth or Zebra. Loom or Razor sound deeper than Massive or Serum. Hybrid is so light and lovely synth that I skipped Hive because of it! While Vacuum Pro is great analog sounding synth rivals Retrologue in my setup. I'm very happy for having these three synths.
I care a lot about how much cpu usage to how much I like the sound ratio. Hive, Sylenth, Dune and Hybrid are very cpu friendly.
Spire and Serum have a great GUI and sound but heavy weight on the cpu.
There is also Waldorf Largo which has a better sound than both of Massive and Serum with better cpu usage but with higher price!
Demo all of them and play them in a tiny 16 bars project then choose one or more that you really like to listen to and work with.

Did you try Dune 2? With Serum, they are my best synths of the year.

I agree, you should try Dune 2 as well, very low CPU compared to Serum (for example), and just beautiful sound.

so for my Industrial/EBM i use mostly Sylenth1 i have to admit cause of all the powerful saws etc. but i couldnt get a sound like this at 0:50 secs:
the rest sounds pretty SAWish with heavy detune etc.
i have Zebra but it is very complex for me, cause i also look for a nice vst for this type of tech/house music check at 2:00 mins:
or stuff like this
new dawn of ashes is a joke. dawn of shit.

tbh these sounds are very simple. its the musical context that makes the song great. the sounds you hear are just heavy detuned saw waves. massive, dune2, spire, zebra2 among others.
also novation ultranova/mininova imo.

Never support anything associated with dead mouse in anyway whatsoever. Spire has been run into the ground already thanks to the developer's pushing it on the club scene. Hive is the obvious choice.

Not sure what'd make Hive the obvious choice even though it aims at the same target audience being criticized on Spire here.
Actually they're doing a good job selling loads of EDM presets. Hope they're doing good money with it, so development on Spire is guaranteed.
