I just remembered I actually turned off transparent look on my daw - among the more demanding features.
I remember programming and using transparent looks always send paint message from bottom up for everything to look right - that cost on every redraw, having many things transparent on top of each other and then maybe nicelooking gradients and stuff.

Hello,
Aero is necessary in Cubase Pro 8 due to the new window management and for other performance reasons, I know we recommended to disable it in the past, but now it is not the case.
Best regards,
GN
The Aero requirement will not be changed.Mushy Mushy wrote:Hi Guillermo,Guillermo Navarrete wrote:Update info
Has there been any discussion at the Steinberg factory on whether the Aero requirement will ever be changed?
If the answer is no, then absolutely fine. I'm not looking for a fight, just an update really.
Thanks

Even though I have cubase 8 I won't even install it till the bugs are fixed.

Valhalla plug-ins are now working also with "always on top"... so it seems to be fixed.xiphiuz wrote:Is the JUCE related bug fixed in this release?

I know there are some aspects of this where some users get a crash. What is happening with your Air plugins? I have not had a problem... Just loaded Transfuser into a project.topaz wrote:Even though I have cubase 8 I won't even install it till the bugs are fixed.

Fortunately, all of these things have been working without issue for me. I did have a crash with one of the UVI vintage vault synths, but it has not recurred.thejonsolo wrote:I know there are some aspects of this where some users get a crash. OSX 10.9
all AIR plugins crash Cubase 8 64bit
Render in place with Loopmash = instant crash.

Maybe it's digestive system related?? Try getting more fiber in your diet.

Cubase 7 and 8 working great here. The "always on top" kept on randomly coming on in different plugs, but hopefully that's history now. Otherwise, no problems.
If the click thing is such a bother, why not just record a click track? I used to do that all the time with a VST when the internal click seemed to drift for me in other versions. Copy/Paste a hundred bars of drum click.
Does astralexistence not really like Cubase?
