Regardless of his previous posts, or what you think his motives might be, he is simply showing gratitude here. Who cares if you agree with the sentiment? Is this really how we need to be? If so, it explains a lot
Of course we need it this way!!

Most of us have become cynical and grumpy old men here.

Well it does seem to me like one person is trying to take over the "Hosts..." forum, where this thread started. (Yes I know I'm not the forum police).

No, I'm just gonna use the opportunity to post a video link

why can't the 3 words thread be this funny?

It is interesting how much skepticism caused this post, while from psychological point of view it is very important to thank people for their work and to let them know that their work is really important for the people.
Peace and tolerance

I would like to thank myself (and all the other punters) for supplying the cash to all the developers.

Go us!
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

Especially Camel Audio have to be thankful toward us.

Wow Murnau, you back then? :o :tu:

Absolutely... And a big smooch to my favorite mega-corp Apple.

The OP, memyselfandus, loves starting threads. Many of them are silly or pointless:

* Still using windows 95 for your Daw?
* What is your favorite Doughnut?
* Do you think Camel Audio were bought out just for Alchemy?

The Camel one was pointless because we already had enough Camel threads.

Thanking people is good but it didn't belong in the Hosts forum. It has been moved to the correct forum. Also thanking a specific developer or company would be meaningful. Thanking every developer on the planet seems like the OP enjoys posting for the sake of posting.

I like better grateful threads like this, than threads telling devs to go f**k themselves ;)

And that's what you call a silly thread?

But seriously, this explains all the skepticism. Anyway, I'll second this opinion:

Too much hate in the world and on the Internet these days. OP seems to be a good guy. At least he likes doughnuts.
Peace and tolerance

Yes.

He just started another thread minutes ago: adhoc network. He could google "adhoc network" and find good answers but he gets enjoyment from creating lots of threads. :nutter:

Sure, even though such naivity is rather suspicious, a bit like this :D
