The original was great - except for the CPU. I used it a lot but then I'd have to bounce the results.

This is very impressive. Much better than the original, or a much more usable sound for me in any case. If the CPU usage is as low as they say then I could probably really use this in a mix. Not a bad price either.
I especially love how the stereo width widens when you really push it and you can hear the sound breaking up differently on left & right channels.
I also really like just how much new texture is added to a sound, rather than just a harsher version of the original.

I think I'll upgrade but these company is pretty expensive concerning upgrade. Half the price of the plug ? That's pretty high considering they're doing 40% black friday sale on their products...

Note that TS-2 requires Pace licensing. Also, TS-2 will install side by side with original Tube Saturator 1, it won't overwrite it, so you can run them both.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Well I winced as I pressed the pay now button. The EURO plus the 23% on top is just criminal. Thank God I didn't have to pay 100%. Anyway, I tried the demo and I really liked it and that's all that really matters at the end of the day.

v1 is really one of the best tube plugins IMO. All the excitement from reading the topic title... down the drain when I got to the PACE part in the announcement 
Such a disappointment, as this is probably one hell of a saturation plugin.
Luckily I wasn't even able to run the demo, because even that hit me with an error due to lack of the PACE malware on my computer. I guess it's better not to know what I'll be missing.

Love the new version! Looks great sounds great and the CPU is much lower than before

interesting...but the shattered glass audio has to be the best tube emulation I heard and is free or $15...will be interested to compare...

The Shattered Glass Pre-amp is very nice indeed - silly money for what you get. Really give some oomph to the low end. I love it on drums. Too bad they are using Pace malware with this new plugin, but it saved me the money so I can´t complain much. Fortunately they still use the old system for their other plugins (C/R without Pace).
Edit: out of curiosity I tried to install it to my laptop, doesn´t work:
"iLok License Manager seems to be installed incorrectly. Try rebooting and try again, or visiting iLok.com and downloading the installer again." Hah what a malware, no thanks!
