Heya peeps,
I have an update in the first post.
CPU is half, it forces mono as an option and bend isn't in there for now.
I did lots more playing, testing and tweaking.
Have you made any tracks with JO MIDI Guitar Fischkopf?

Here is a track I did, using riffs I played on 2SYN->
https://soundcloud.com/nix808/jamto
It's all Absynth & 2SYN except for the drums, which are Rebirth through Reason.

I have edited the first post with the new .dll and .fsm,
after some 10s of hours more playing and coding.
It has the bend mode back now(with the same CPU as the prior version), and tracks as flawless as it will ever get on the first 12 frets-
with a slight issue on the upper ones that I will work on in the next couple of days,
involving bleeding of an open string(D) being determined as the note compared to say the 22nd fret of G.
There is more than one filter tweak that changes this.
I hope someone enjoys this device as much as me

Sweet!
Let me know, even if it works terrible, what are the major issues please,
if you will.
I just listened to the piano on the first page,
it's much better now I'm sure.
I will play some upright piano again today and link the audio.
Velocity is still sketchy, if anyone would like to improve it.
Somehow peak, which I have gotten in stream could be used- an average peak over 25 ms?
You're welcome Glokraw, again I wanna hear the good and the bad
It's real untested this system- Just the 3rd soundcard ever for me is running it-
which gave me 10 times more amplitude than ECHO Layla.
^edit- it turns out the Layla was not fully plugged in, and on a low preamp setting.
Now it is 2.5 times less than 0db pre on Presonus AudioBox

Heya,
I have updated the link in the original post with the full point version 1.1.
This version is built with Flowstone 3081.
The download has the source .fsm and VSTfx .dll
Does anyone want to use the existing GUI as a wireframe, and make it look nummy?
I'll be back with some audio demos in the next couple of days,
and the graphical resources.
Velocity is twitchy as anything, it could be improved.
Rock on, Nick
edit- all you need to set is the 'Gain' multiplier, to get the on/off gates correct

I have made another piano demo. The velocity is real sensitive and disparate,
but have a listen to the pitch following. I think there are only 2 slight muffs->

G'day,
Update 1.2 now available in the first post.
Now it uses just 2 bandpass filters, and it is better than ever on the 24th fret.
This thing is truly delicious to play and I'm buzzing on Timewarp,Lush and Cyclop.
The improvements will be plain in the upcoming audio demos.
For the slide mode, you need a patch with real consistent cycles, ie. a pluck is terrible.
You can hear the bandpass tracking around.
The .fsm is there so u can tune it to your pickup/soundcard/guitar.
As usual velocity is shonky, I haven't worked on it.
I hope you enjoy!

New download is in the first post, ver 1.3.
Audio demos to follow.
I got it to register the 22nd high E fret on my strat(while letting B open ring out over it), which was very wishy-washy until now.
Now it switches to last played note in the detector, which seems better than a string root.
Also, when in bend mode, there is only soundcard latency and RMS window time(max 700 samples at 44.1k) as the delay before note on.
Cheers

Here's the Akoustik Piano again. No velocity this time.
Piano is such a precise sort of sound, there are like 5 muffs in the 2 (samish) pieces.

The OPL lead, and a bass from OPL. I edited out the mistakes and mis-reads.
Processed with Camel fx and Thrill Me,
then clipped peaks with a brickwall
(edit for typos)

1.4 out, still steadily improving.
The sequence of filters is now correct I feel.
It is more accurate, and the last of the muffs are somewhat anomalous.
You know that one where the stick figure headbutts the computer until he is in bits-
that's kinda applicable to quashing the inconsistent reads.
But it is very close and a lot of fun to play.
It uses -smooth lp/lp->bp->notch x2 cut
and defaults the dynamic bp and notch cutoff to last note played

Sounds to me like you're possibly using a very naive implementation of a Kalman filter.

Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.
