I didn't read the linked article, just responding to this sentence which kind of stands out for me. What exactly should Apple care about if not about itself? I mean, like, it's a company and therefor of course should care about its own profit in the first place, to expand, and to be able to pay their employees (something many often forget when it's about "greedy money hungry companies").

Don't know if you've heard about this concept called "ethics". It's supposed to be fundamental to human relationships. Business is a form of human relationship, although that's easy to forget. <irony>Thankfully Taylor Swift is here to remind us.</irony>

Wag, you and me are on the same page here... Apple are pure corporate filth imo.

Microsoft are saints compared to these guys, who are just wolves wearing, polo necks and moccasins.

BTW - Yes, I do have an apple mac - I only bought it because I wanted to use Logic a some years back. Now I don't use Logic at all.

If anyone thinks these guys are a 'nice' or a neutral mega corp I suggest you try reading a few articles. Start with Tax...

It may be corporate centered but to call it EVIL is a bit of a stretch....

Apple evil ? ...umm no. Assholes maybe. But 'evil' is reserved for Big Pharma, imo.

my maine gripe with apple, as an imac owner and fan of OSX ( up until 10.6.8 ), is their aggressive forward trajectory with OS updates - linked to hardware updates, and an aggressive aversion to backwards compatibility. I don't give a shit about their itunes/streaming policies.

Another thing I don't like about Apple, but that Microsoft are also guilty of, is the mobile OSification of their desktop OS's.

Yes, a tad over the top, but it's just an expression (which Wyterabbyt understood). To put it more realistically I think apple are the quintessential corporate psychopath a long with the Vatican church. They are my too big hates at the moment...

"Evil" has very much a moral (or even religious) connotation. Business is basically amoral. Now, "unethical" may be a more suitable word, if we consider that there is (or should be) an ethic code, even in business.
