As soon as people get in touch with the mess that is Linux, they will welcome Windows, with all its "privacy issues" (whatever that means). Not to mention that they would have to give up of A LOT of things they are used to.

I was using that mess earlier this evening running
5 Repro-1's in Harrison Mixbus, while downloading
even more sonic jewels. Securely, with no other
OS versions sneakily/forcefully updating my machine.

I've recorded Reaper, Mixbus and Qtractor output together,
each hosting plugins, to take advantage of unique
qualities. People are using U-he, discoDSP,
PianoteQ, Bitwig, Mixbus, Reaper in wine, and a host
of fine plugins, quite happily. Wusikstation as a native linux app
would be a welcome addition. I've used it in wine for years,
so if it doesn't happen, the earth will spin on...

Me too! I've downgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 7 because of the too many in OS pop-ups from both Windows itself and my AVG PC Cleanup software. I already have another computer with Ubuntu so I'm already familiar with it.

BTW. With W7 you're not in the clear, because now MS is also adding it's W10 'snoopware' to W7 & 8.

I turned off updates completely and watch this and this site for info.

Allright, I see this is an old thread, but what is the status of a linux build? I would pay a fortune for a good and native VSTi or LV2 sampler.

There is a nice sampler for linux, called Bliss,
from http://www.discodsp.com

It samples linux native vsts as advertised, has a good
effects section, a native file format, and is priced right,
no fortune needed.

I would expect all of Wusik efforts to go towards
perfecting the existing products, but in the meantime,
try using Wusik in linux with reaper and wine.
I have an older Wusik version that works fine.

I read where wine 1.9 and newer,
or 'wine staging', work for some newer apps that
require more windows infrastructure than
2015 and earlier wine versions provided, so try that
if V8 doesn't work with what wine you have.

Yeah got Bliss and Redux demos, not entirely sure about buying these. But Bliss looks really nice.
