Note: You are still free to adjust the value of a locked parameter at any time!"

Thank you, good to know. As said, this feature SHOULDN´T be rare, to my opinion, but obviously it is. Not only is synths, but in many effect this feature programming should be a norm, typically when browsing the presets "mix" parameter locking option would be very useful (take e.g. the Trash2 which has very aggressive sounds, the default mix is always 100 % which makes your ears ringing has blood pressure rising, and in vain when this could be avoided by adjusting the mix to 50 % and locking this parameter - of course you can always put the effect to the DAW bus and set the feed to 50 % but not optimal way in my workflow) . Is the "freezing/locking option so hard to program or why it is not more common?

A very basic version of that is the global section some synths have, most of all an instance-based volume knob in addition to the preset-based one.

I use it mainly for arp locking (and when I produce in 432Hz, to lock the global tuning), it is mainly useful for preset surfers I guess.

Yes, with the arp it makes sense I suppose. Then again, why not use an external arp. To me frankly arp is like a mini DAW or a midi file and as such I prefer to use an external arp, which I can even use for different synths, not just different patches of the same synth.

(I wish one could use the copy and paste feature in Sylenth to copy sections across multiple instances.)

For me it's just a workflow thing - I like browsing through arp patches to find inspiration, and setting up an external arp tool is always a bit of a hassle (though it' rather easy in my DAW (Live)), but as I said before, for Arp lovers Cthulu is a must-have.
