I've been wanting something like this for a while. There was a free phenome synth (I can't remember the name of it offhand), but it was very hard to use.

...because you haven't to be surprised if Plogue hadn't tested a software also in a 15-years old DAW....Mac of BIOnighT wrote:Yep...Cochrane wrote:Mac of BIOnighT wrote: Cubasesx.exe Version Version 1.0.5.61 - 10.9.2015 15:58![]()

Anyone get this to work on a Mac? I downloaded latest version, went to load the Daisy voice file, but the Administrator password panel does not take input. Went back to website, downloaded latest Aria engine thinking that might be the issue, and now it says my version of Alter Ego is outdated!

15-years for a software are frankly a bit too much for thinking someone has to test for it: I know that in PC world there's a lot of retro-compatibility between old version of sw and new versions of O.S., but try speaking with some Apple guys and they'll tell you that every time they change OS a lot of applications stop working...
BTW, the similarities between jeans and DAWs are somewhat insightful...

Alter/Ego download should include the latest engine. Try re-installing Alter/Ego to make sure you have the latest engine. Then drag and drop the Daisy bank file using the Alter/Ego standalone. I ran into some issue with Ableton Live and drag'n'drop, some modal window issue wasn't letting me type in my password as well. Just re-trying in the StandAlone worked for me.jc_vt wrote:Anyone get this to work on a Mac? Nope, reinstalled AlterEgo, ran the Standalone version, didn't give me grief about Aria engine, opened the window for administrator password but nothing happens when I type in that window...

I got it to work in Live (on Mac), but ran into the same issue that Chad@PA mentioned... It just took a bit longer to get it to receive keystroke when entering the administration password, but eventually it did work.jc_vt wrote:Nope, reinstalled AlterEgo, ran the Standalone version, didn't give me grief about Aria engine, opened the window for administrator password but nothing happens when I type in that window...

I couldn't get it to work in Chipspeech, only Alter/Ego, which is fine for me, but I'm only mentioning because I saw early on that Daisy is supposed to work in either one. And for the record, I initially tried to install Daisy via Chipspeech before loading up Alter/Ego.

It is specifically designed to produce artificial sounding vocals for chip tunes, ambient, sci fi, film track etc. can also be slowed in breaks chopped, reversed glitches and whatever in dub, electro and of course K pop
it's just another instrument, tr808 didn't sound much like a real drum kit but it seemed to find its way on a few tracks....
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!
