I was hoping for bitmap replaceable graphics too.. but it looks like color themes are it. I actually thought the flat look was just a beta mockup and the actual theme was coming later in the beta period.

completely agree , unfortunatelyfmr wrote: I see... I was expecting something that would make Bliss look betterAs shallow as it may seem, I want a synth to not just sound good but also to look good.

I'm happy to include the sampler editor as well. I'll have another look as see if there is anything more I can bring to the table...

Just changing colours is useless, IMO. It's the same with Synth 1 - it always looks horrendous, no matter what colour scheme you choose. And I always end by giving up, in spite of the (undeniable) quality of the synth. The way it is, Bliss will have the same fate for me.VitaminD wrote:I was hoping for bitmap replaceable graphics too.. but it looks like color themes are it. I'm afraid if Bliss is yet another indication of the future of GUIs I've bought my last plugin. I just don't like the 2d lifeless style, had enough of that when I owned an Atari ST and Commodore Amiga.............sorry.

Themes could go along way towards adding some depth with more gradients, and simple 2 color outlines.
IMO everything should have a two color gradient option.
*also being able to change fonts could bring about a completely different look easily.
-Cheers

I like "flat".
At the moment, I'd much rather that the guys worked on adding functionality to Bliss. After that the guys can have another look at the GUI. Don't forget that is vector-scalable (I believe), so pseudo-3D graphics elements could be a challenge.

I'm with Teksonik. If going vector means having this kind of GUIs, thanks, but no thanks. Seems like the world got crazy with this 2D/flat madness. IMO it's just a(nother stupid) fashion, as were the tablets and other things. In a couple of years, people will realized this was a huge step back, and that all this look dull, ugly and tasteless.DarkStar wrote:I like "flat".

And what good will be to have functionality, if a lot of people will not care of the product because of the looks?

i was interested in Bliss before i have seen this tasteless Gui , not yet anymore .
and i don´t think the Gui will or can be changed after the beta , otherwise it would be integrated in beta versions as well .
