$55 adds features to the 27 plugins in the FreeEffects Bundle, eg change skin; add sonograms to the EQ, upsample and save presets. Melda has a Forum here at KVR, and the developer is very responsive to questions:

It tells you on the bundle page what paying for the Free version gets you.
Advantages of the upgrading

The software is totally free of charge, so please download and enjoy! You should consider upgrading to a professional version though. This is what you get:

You can change size and style of the plugins.
You can access sonogram feature in analyzers and equalizers.
You can manipulate your own presets.
Most plugins can perform upsampling which minimizes aliasing, therefore it is useful to improve sound quality.
The plugins will not contain the nasty big box in the bottom with our clickable logo.
You will make us happy and let us develop more free software ;-).

I see, but that does not make sense. I can already change size and style of the plugins and I can access sonogram in the analyzers and equalizers. For the rest I did not notice anything yet, except for the "big nasty box" in the bottom of the plugin. Not that nasty anyway :D but for sure its worth the money to support Melda. Thanks for the information! :)

Maybe the website is out of date, then. I dunno, now.

He'll figure it out when the demos expire.
