Hey, having me a listen now on my hi-fi system...still like it, still think those pads get pretty loud. Cool track though. Gonna listen again.
Hey, some mean weather in Thailand huh? Never been there, but have witnessed some 'fast and furious' weather in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The land is flat so you can see far distances and when the atmosphere changes, it changes big. Harsh systems get going and coming down the pike real quick. I was just there for a few weeks. Can`t imagine tornado season!

I have never seen any really bad weather when I have been in Thailand, apart from some torrential rainstorms, although this one, and others in my experience tend to last only for a few hours.

I was in Houston a long time ago, and I had a 15 minute drive into work. When I left the motel it was 35 degrees Celsius. I arrived at the office and the temperature had dropped by almost 20 degrees, and bright sunshine had been replaced by black clouds and a a storm of near apocalyptic spectacle. I think it only lasted for 45 minutes or so, and then the sunshine returned.

I get the impression of moving through dark clouds. The sounds are generally excellent. The mix is very good although there is a slight fuzziness to it which could be intentional. All frequencies are under control and it sounds good at any volume.

That fuzziness was almost certainly intentional. Some of the synth patches I used had "secondary" components, The main arp was processed through Harmonic Adder and the Paulstretched "string" certainly contained some dirt, much of which was filtered out.

I have to admit I'm not an ambient aficionado. This kind of music works as background music for me rather than something that holds my attention.

In any case, it is enjoyable and goes down smooth with the beverage of your choice.

You're right to be careful with those monks from Thailand. Their team of lawyers will sue you six ways to Sunday for any uncredited samples.

I'm hoping to put up another version of this in a few months, with out the processed strings, but featuring sampled vocals. I think the bell-synth was a preset in Zebralette. Sleep well.

Fine piece, very relaxing, warm and transparent-sounding, plus it kept my attention as there´s just enough development throughout, but not so much as to disturb the mood Quite obviously, it pays off to stay away from these evil drums sometimes

There was quite a bit of "emotional" input on here. I was surrounded by images and sounds from my recent trip to Thailand when I put this together. This is actually V2 of this track. The original contained some samples recorded in a temple, and I wanted to make sure that I didn't encounter any copyright problems, so I replaced all of the original field recordings. I might look into making the original version available next year.

Glad you liked the strings. It's quite surprising what can be done with a little time-stretching.
