Some wierd shit, its given me a free upgrade for Essential2 to 4 even though I registered it well before November.VariKusBrainZ wrote:I mean I'm not seeing the option to buy any upgrades from Editor2, though it is registered in my accountSampleconstruct wrote:I just checked as well, it's in your user account, you have to enter the serial number at the bottom of the page and then you can upgrade.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Ive logged in but on the upgrade page I can't see an upgrade from Editor v2 to v4 or a pathway from Editor to Studio
I wonder if this is because I had my licence reset last week by Celemony as I forgot to deregister it on my machine before I did a fresh OS upgrade

Is it worth waiting to see if JRR will sell the upgrade cheaper?

It looks like most of the improvements were to Studio; more specifically, from the website at least, it doesn't look like there's any change to (or improvement in) the algorithm for basic vocal tuning. Since that's most of what I use Editor for, I'm not sure this is for me. I wonder if it will let me download a demo of Editor v4 even as I'm running v2 on my system...
EDIT: Didn't realize the upgrade to Studio is only $50 more than the upgrade to Editor v4. But if there's no change to the basic algorithm, I still don't know if it's worth it for my particular workflow. Still, I'm intrigued enough to check it out.

Does seem almost to good to be true that price to get the full studio version - wonder if they made a mistake?

They are selling Studio new for 699 and Editor for 399 so anyone wanting studio from scratch would be daft to buy it, they should just buy the editor and upgrade for 149, total cost 548.
