My man Mystahr!
Okay, fasten your seatbelts - here we go!...
http://www.mystahr.com/Temp/1911-PaymentInFull.mp3
For those that care to know (already sent to vurt)
About the song - The trick is to add 'parallel lines' to the title. 1911 is really 1/9/11
(y/m/d) Just to add that extra chill when you hear the song. Most elements and 'tributes' come in 4's, and the last spasms in the song has pitch curves to look like airplane tails. Pretty artsy shit, huh?
I used 4 instances of mini-vurt with the patches 'Shadow f**ked', 'Vaznjam', 'vurt-U-Want', and 'Patch 33' (I know - it's a default
) The later was fed through and controlled via NDC Plugs latest BufferSynth2 Beta. Other patches are fairly 'unaffected' aside from slight EQ, automated panning, and different Platinum Reverb intensities. Mastered in WaveLab using only generic tools (DC off, Norm, Punch, and Peak) and Smart Electronix Polorizer for the 'Implosion' at the end. And of course - Orion Platinum all the way baby!

This was a bit of a tough one. I tend to be a bit anal about quantise etc. which the vurtbox definately isn't
Here's my attempt though, all mini-vurts apart from the drums which were from the SR202 (neptune kit). Lots of use of scuzzphut6 hence the name.

Interested to know what you think.....
Steve.

just listened to JDub's track.... very cool.
wish I could do stuff like this but my brain gets in the way
and I start chopping it up loose all the "feel"
really slow link though..... kept having to re-buffer on media player.

Shit vurt, you've got your work cut out for you.. These are all so good.. I would really like to dedicate a page on my website to this so say if it would be ok to put up links to the files..
btw blaster78 I wouldn't worry on two counts..
1)I liked the 'structure' of your track worked really well with the weirdness of the MVB
2) Listen to that warping patch in J-dubs track for more than a few seconds and your brain will never get in the way of anything ever again!!

Thanks Blaster - but I think the book of 'vurt' may have your name on it? Tres cool track you got there.
But I thought vurt wanted a 'direct link' to music? Hence my man Mystahr helping me out? Or is 'Soundclick' et al acceptable vurt? Better let Blaster and others know fast.

I don't want break any rules
currently sorting out IIS server on an old machine, so should be a direct link soon.
ps. the machine has an 80 gig hard disk so could probably sort out some space for others as well

made tonight with a bunch of vurtboxes and mini-vurts...
as they are very cpu hungry i decided to take the ultimate random composing process : drawing notes, arranging patterns, rendering without listening... It gave me a first level, further processed with northpole and some EQ work. Then i added a sort of lead over the top thanks to a last vurtbox playing live against the audio file.
the result is quite interesting, i think.
thanks a lot for inspiring such great plugins
